Elijah Haven ’27 Ranked No. 1 Overall Prospect for 2027
Sophomore quarterback Elijah Haven has been named the top college football recruit for 2027 by 247Sports.
“The Baton Rouge (La.) Dunham quarterback stands at the top of his class, thanks to a mixture of production and verified athleticism,” wrote 247Sports’ Mike Roach after this morning’s release of the initial Top 100 prospects in the class of 2027.
Last year, Elijah posted an 8-3 record as a freshman starter during a season that saw him throw for 2,205 yards with a school-record 35 touchdowns and rush for 641 yards and 12 touchdowns. After helping the team clinch the District 6-2A championship, he was named All-District Offensive MVP, All-District 1st Team, All-Metro 1st Team, and All-State.
Elijah is a multi-sport athlete who was named the 2023-2024 All-District MVP on the varsity basketball team and earned All-District 1st Team and All-State 2nd Team honors.
He currently holds offers to play football at the collegiate level from Baylor University, Cornell, the University of Florida, Florida State, the University of Miami, Ole Miss, and Texas Tech.
The Dunham Tigers kick off the 2024-2025 season on September 6 at 7:00 pm in a home game against Parkview Baptist.
