Middle School students enjoy a wide range of extracurricular activities in athletics, dance, choir, and band as well as opportunities to participate in plays, class retreats, service projects, and a variety of clubs and organizations.

When my family moved to Baton Rouge, I didn’t think I’d find a school I liked as well as my previous school. Then I visited Dunham. It was everything I was looking for, especially the academics and extracurricular opportunities.

The House
System

Middle School students develop decision-making skills, build confidence, and gain experience in group dynamics through the House System. Each student is assigned to a house named in honor of the school founders—Tabb, Koch, Love, and Michaelson.  Eighth grade students serve as House Captains who lead the house along with six committee chairs. Through various activities and academic achievements, Houses compete throughout the year to win the Snoddy House Cup.
