george and wait harrod named Presidential Scholar Candidates
The Dunham School is proud to announce that the White House Commission on Presidential Scholars has selected brothers George and Wait Harrod as candidates for the U.S. Presidential Scholars Program, one of the highest honors bestowed upon graduating seniors.
Out of the approximately 3.9 million students expected to graduate from high school this year, only about 4,000 of the nation’s top achievers were invited to apply to the prestigious program. This spring, a review committee will select up to 161 Presidential Scholars based on their academic excellence, leadership, and service to their schools, and communities.
Both George and Wait are AP Scholars with Distinction® and accomplished members of the varsity tennis team. Additionally, George, who will attend the University of Pennsylvania in the fall, has advanced as a Finalist in the National Merit Scholarship Program. As a Finalist, he is eligible to compete for a National Merit Scholarship awarded later this spring.
Please join us in congratulating George and Wait on this outstanding achievement!
