Capping off a very successful varsity season, runner John Walker McDonald has been named to the 2018 2A All State Cross Country team.  

The freshman finished in 4th place overall with a time of 18:50 at the Class 2A Boys State Cross Country Championship, held at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, La.

The Dunham boys cross country team finished in the middle of the pack in 13th place.  

The Dunham girls team placed 9th out of 14 teams, with 8th graders Lili Fagan, Elizabeth McDonald and Avery Fautheree stepping up to compete in the State meet.

“Despite extremely muddy course conditions and cold, rainy weather, our cross country runners competed hard,” said cross country coach Ed Van Haute. “All of our runners worked hard and both teams showed consistent improvements throughout the season. We are proud of every one of them.”
