Spiritual Emphasis Week

 

Spiritual Emphasis Week is a time when the faculty and staff join with the student body in focusing attention for an entire week of school on a spiritual theme and verse of Scripture.  Our encouragement for this week is taken from Colossians 3:16, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.” 

It is hoped that during this time the Holy Spirit would use the worship leaders, speakers, the gatherings, and the times of prayer to bring about revival in our hearts and minds to the things of God. The goal for the end of the week and beyond is that we would together in unity be transformed more and more into the image of our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

2017 Spiritual Emphasis Week 

Spiritual Emphasis Week is January 23-27.  We are excited that this year the Lower School has their own week with the theme of "Be Fruit-FULL" based on Galatians 5:22-23. Middle and Upper School have the theme of "Re:NEW" based on 2 Corinthians 5:17. The times for our gatherings change each day, and the week is full of a variety of activities, chapel talks, music, and prayerfully, the power and movement of Jesus. Families are invited to join us for the Family Breakfast on Friday, January 23 at 7:00 am in the dining hall. Lastly, may we all be in prayer as we trust the Lord to move on our Dunham campus and in the hearts of our students, faculty and staff.

"Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen." - Ephesians 3:20-21
